Stronger together in a digitalizing society
Learning from and with each other
Digital Resilience of People and Organizations
The Digital Resilience of People and Organizations professorship develops and shares knowledge and solutions for current professional practices and societal issues related to the digital aspects of police work and the digital resilience of citizens and organizations. The professorship responds to the growing expectation that virtually everyone will encounter cyberattacks.
Citizens, Organizations, Police
In its three research lines – ‘citizens’, ‘organizations’, and ‘police’ – the focus is on people. Humans are a crucial link in the digital security chain, and the research aims to strengthen, support, and further facilitate this link. The approach emphasizes human-centered cyber resilience. When citizens and businesses can no longer cope on their own, the police become involved.
Learning From and With Each Other
The police face various challenges in an increasingly digital society, such as improving their own digital skills and tackling online crime. To address these challenges, learning from and with each other is essential. In this inaugural lecture, Jurjen Jansen presents the playing field, the research topics, ambitions, and plans for the coming period.
